We believe every child
deserves to create
Firefly IO is Ghana's leading STEAM and robotics education organization. We build the tools, deliver the training, and create the pathways that turn curious minds into confident creators.
From Brekuso
Where wooden cars sparked a dream that would become XploreBot.
It started with wood and imagination
Our founder, George Sarfo, grew up in Brekuso building cars out of wood. No motors, no code—just materials from the farm and a dream to make things move.
The first time he touched a real robotics kit changed everything. But when he saw the price, he realized that thousands of brilliant young minds faced the same barrier: access.
Firefly IO was founded in 2020 to change that. We develop locally-made robotics kits, deliver comprehensive training, and create competitive pathways—so that no child's potential is limited by what they can afford.
"The boy in Brekuso cutting wood just wanted to create. Today, we're making sure every child has that same opportunity."
— George Sarfo, Founder
